The
Simi Valley High Choral Alumni Association
is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of it's
alumni, for the sole purpose of keeping members abreast of all
choral alumni activities. These include reunions, news of group
activities, music, music theory, alumni performances, current and
past photos of choral activities, and the sharing of personal
stories. We strive to further the alumni's learning
experience - either for pure
entertainment, or as an avenue to further education, by linking
alumni to related choral music information.
We believe that this small up-start association, under the school
district's guidance and direction, will consistently achieve its
goals and promote good community spirit.
The true intent for the use of the school name, and its musical
icon, is solely for the promotion and recognize ability of the
association, and to help alumni locate us. No other meaning is
derived in whole or in part, and the Simi Valley school District
is the sole owner of the name, and it's musical icon.
The Simi Valley
High Choral Alumni Association was founded by Erin Arbeau and
William Paulsen June 2001 for the original purpose of conducting
the first Choral Alumni reunion for the classes 1969 through 1983;
to honor the retired choral director Mr. Gene Trerise; and to
bring together the alumni for this, and future, reunions with
their respective directors when possible.
